Pat Perkins, media specialist of Burch Elementary in Tyrone, Ga., inducted retired educator Carol Lunsford into the Mu Conclave of Kappa Kappa Iota.

Kappa Kappa Iota is an educational sorority whose purpose is to promote the advancement of education by providing an effective network for the exchange of education and teaching practice by educators.

Mu Conclave serves the Fayette and Henry counties area. Perkins serves as the president of Lambda State, Georgia’s unit of Kappa Kappa Iota.

Lunsford serves as the Area X Director of the Georgia Retired Educators Association. Lunsford’s area includes Butts, Carroll , Heard, Clayton, Coweta, Fayette, Henry, and Spalding counties.
