Peachtree City builder, Rick Conaway has been named 2006 Builder of the Year by Peachtree City Building Department officials. Conaway, an exclusive builder in the Smokerise Crossing subdivision in Peachtree City, was presented with the award by Peachtree City Building Official Tom Carty and Peachtree City Mayor Harold Logsdon at the January 18 City Council Meeting.

Builder of the Year Award awardees are selected by the Peachtree City Building Department’s Code Enforcement officials and inspectors who recognize local builders for outstanding achievement each year.

Conaway, president of Southern Comfort Classical Homes, has been a custom builder for more than twenty years and builds homes ranging in price from $900,000 to $1.5 million in Peachtree City’s Smokerise Communities, where he also resides with his wife, Janet. He has played a major role helping make Smokerise one of Fayette County’s most prestigious neighborhoods.

“We strive to meet highest building standards possible to provide the best homes in the area and it is an honor to receive this esteemed award” said Conaway.
