Region 2-AAAA basketball tournament starts tonightMon, 02/12/2007 - 2:54pm

The slate is clean and what some refer to as "the second season" starts tonight. McIntosh High School will host the boys and girls region 2-AAAA basketball tournaments this week and the basketball action kicks off today with two play in games. Whitewater's girls will face Banneker at 6 p.m. with the winner taking on Westlake tomorrow night at 8:30 p.m. The Starr's Mill boys will face Northgate today at 7:30 p.m. and the winner will meet Westlake at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tuesday's basketball schedule will see McIntosh's girls take on Starr's Mill at 4 p.m. and Fayette County's Lady Tigers meet Northgate at 7 p.m. On Wednesday, Whitewater's boys will play Woodward Academy at 4 p.m., McIntosh will take on Creekside at 5:30 p.m. and Fayette County will play Banneker at 7 p.m. In other region basketball tournaments, Sandy Creek's boys are off until they meet the winner of Central, Carrollton and Cass on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. The Lady Patriots will play the winner of the Cartersville/Cedartown and central, Carroll game on Friday at 4 p.m. login to post comments |
