Dedication to his community and unselfish support of numerous efforts that make a difference for those who need assistance earned Allan Vigil of Allan Vigil Ford in Morrow, Ga. and Allan Vigil Ford of Fayetteville in Fayetteville, Ga. a nomination for Ford Motor Company’s 2007 Salute To Dealers award.

Salute To Dealers is conducted under the guidance of Edsel B. Ford II, a member of Ford’s Board of Directors. The program was established in 2001 to demonstrate Ford Motor Company’s commitment to its thousands of dealer principals who improve the lives of those in need while providing outstanding products and services.

This year, 71 exceptional dealers from 26 states and Canada were nominated for the seventh annual award. Dealer principals representing all Ford Motor Company brands – Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Jaguar, Volvo, Mazda, Land Rover and Aston Martin – are eligible to be nominated by a regional representative. An independent panel of judges selects the honorees based on the dealer’s individual activities, personal motivation and length of participation.

Members of the nominated dealers’ communities applaud their dedication to the hundreds of causes they support – from education, coaching and Special Olympics to scholarships, military support and health care – and their tireless efforts to make the world a better place.

“We are proud to have so many men and women who embody the same spirit of corporate citizenship my great-grandfather Henry Ford instilled in Ford when he founded the company more than 100 years ago,” Edsel Ford said. “These dealers give so much of themselves and their resources to a wide variety of people, projects and organizations.
