Whole Foods Market is voluntarily recalling 6,000 jars of its 365 Everyday Value Kalamata Olive Tapenade because they may contain glass fragments, Georgia Department of Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin announced. The glass fragments may cause injury if ingested.

The 8.12 ounce jars with purple and brown labels have the barcode number (UPC) 0009948241757. The code for the product is found on the top of the lid and the number is: B.B. 14/09/2009 L 257/06 with time stamps ranging from 14:00 through 16:00. Whole Foods had shipped the product to its markets nationwide.

Jars with time stamps within the 14:00 to 1600 range should be discarded and not consumed.

“Consumers may also return the tapenade to the place of purchase for a full refund,” said Commissioner Irvin.
