Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin is alerting consumers that Vitalabs, Inc., of Jonesboro, Ga., is voluntarily recalling containers of egg protein powder because they may contain dairy products without listing them on the label.

The recall includes all containers of egg protein powder in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavors marketed under the following brand and product names: Vitalabs’ Chocolate Ultra Egg Protein Powder (Jonesboro, GA), Jay Robb’s Egg White Protein (Carlsbad, CA), Bellissima Egg Protein (Des Moines, IA), Body by Todd Egg Protein (Columbus, Ohio), Classic Anatomy Gym Mix A Meal (Leonville, LA), Coad Egg White Protein (Monroe, GA), Desert Burn Egg Protein (Gainesville, GA), Fitness Systems Egg Protein (Sinking Spring, PA), Hannon Health Systems Albumin Isolate (Ozark, AL), Lanny’s Albumin Isolate (Enterprise, AL), Len Rossi Egg Protein (Brentwood, TN), Miracle II Now Egg Protein (Goldsboro, NC), NCP Miracle, Inc. Egg Protein (Kenly, NC), Apple A Day Egg Protein (Ellijay, GA), Mother Nature’s Market Egg Protein (Tucker, GA), Nutrition World Egg Protein (Chattanooga, TN), Return To Eden Egg Protein (Atlanta, GA) and Olympia Egg Protein (Lawrenceville, GA).

All three flavors of the egg protein powder were packaged in four different sizes. One is a 1250CC white plastic bottle, net weight one pound (454 grams). The second is a 2000CC white plastic bottle, net weight two pounds (907 grams). The third is a two-gallon white plastic bucket, net weight six pounds (2,722 grams). The fourth is a 4” x 5” silver single-serving packet, net weight 30 grams.

The recalled containers of egg protein powder were distributed nationwide in retail stores and through Internet sales.

“People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products,” said Commissioner Irvin.
