Heather Lynn Niebes and Edward Louis Sherwood III were married Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at the Hazlehurst House in McDonough. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Charles Hodges.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David E Niebes of Peachtree City.

The groom is the son of Lt. Col. (ret.) and Mrs. Edward L. Sherwood Jr., also of Peachtree City.

The bride was escorted by her father. The matron of honor was Rachel Best of Friendsville, Tenn.and maid of honor was Lauren Meyers of Atlanta. Bridesmaids were Heather Ward of Boston, Mass., Ashley Regan of Atlanta, Allison Antrium of Chicago,. Ill., sister of the groom, Suzanne Powell, Peachtree City, sister of the groom, and Katie Niebes, Kaiserslautern, Germany, sister-in-law of the bride.

The best man was Christopher Baudhuim of Atlanta. The groomsmen were Thad Carson of Augusta, Shane Skeen, of Fayetteville, Jason Paulk of Jackson, Jamey Anderson of Fayetteville, and Jonathan Niebes, Kaiserslautern, Germany and Matthew Niebes, of Peachtree City, brothers of the bride.

After the ceremony the bride’s parents hosted a buffet dinner followed by dancing at the Hazlehurst House.

After a honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple now resides in Fayetteville.
