Don and Debbie Martin moved to Peachtree City from Michigan in 2001. The couple started their own business soon after their move, an after market home improvement consulting firm, and that little business, which operated out of an office in their home, became DeMart Sales, Inc. in 2005. DeMart Sales, Inc. includes Don’s Fence and Door, the trade name for the fence and door part of the business, and DeMart Exteriors, the window and vinyl siding part of the business. In the almost two years since incorporating, the Martins have created a business they are extremely proud of.

The Martins take a lot of pride in providing their customers with the best service possible.
“No matter how big or small we become, we will always strive to meet the individual needs of each and every one of our customers. At this stage of our business we are now seeing an increase in referrals, and referrals only come from satisfied customers.,” said Don Martin. “And without satisfied customers, our business will not continue to thrive.”

One product the Martins are selling a lot of these days are replacement vinyl windows which are very popular due to rising energy costs. Not only do the windows more energy efficient but they add curb appeal to homes and make quite the cosmetic transformation.

Another project that the Martins are proud of is a fence project for a Master Gardener in Peachtree City. The gardener wanted a wrought iron fence to deter deer from entering her yard. The fence, complete with a beautifully arched gate, complements the entry to the yard and is what the Martins consider a masterpiece.
DeMart Sales, Inc. has a showroom located at 208 Fulton Ct. in Peachtree City. Prospective customers can go there to samples of fences, vinyl windows and vinyl siding. There are also a number of catalogs available for specialty jobs that they can provide.

DeMart Sales, Inc. had a booth at last year’s Home and Garden Show at Shakerag in Peachtree City and they plan on attending again this year. They also run a special every season and urge readers to look for an upcoming special on windows in The Citizen.

The Martins have left bitter cold Michigan winters behind them and now have a booming business that gets them out of the bed each morninhg.

“Every day is like a new beginning because we never know what kind of orders we will receive that day and with each new order comes a new customer and a new challenge of providing quality customer service,” Martin said.
Though the business is based in Peachtree City and services the Atlanta metropolitan area, they have also established a customer base in Destin, Fla.
