Now is the time to begin applying for admission to Landmark Christian School for the 2007-2008 school year. A great first step is to check out Landmark's website, where you will find a wealth of information about Landmark and their admissions process. While Landmark's website will provide a great introduction to the school, Landmark's Director of Admissions Tammy McCurry tells prospective parents, "until you come for a visit, meet the teachers, see the students, and feel the presence and peace of God resting on this place, you will not truly 'know' Landmark." Prospective families may call to reserve a spot on one of the regularly scheduled tours at 770-306-0647. The Fairburn campus, which includes K4-12th grades, offers tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m. and the Peachtree City campus, which includes K4-fifth grades, holds tours each Wednesday at 9 a.m. McCurry adds, "many people don't really know how close our campuses are to their home." Located at 50 East Broad Street in Fairburn, the sixty acre main campus is only one mile from I-85 exit No. 61. The eighteen acre Peachtree City campus is located at 777 Robinson Road at the corner of Crosstown Road and Robinson Road. A shuttle service is available from Peachtree City and Douglasville. Landmark offers a non-denominational Christian education in an excellent learning environment. The school is SACS accredited and the teachers are state certified. Landmark's academics are rigorous, with over 98 percent of Landmark students going on to college upon graduation. Fine Arts students enjoy beginning and advanced classes in drama, chorus, band, drawing and painting, sculpture, and photography. Landmark has been recognized as a top Atlanta high school in the area of athletics by Atlanta magazine in January 2006 and January 2007. Participating in Georgia High School Association (GHSA) athletic competition, Landmark has brought home 74 region championships and 27 state championships. Headmaster Matt Skinner says that Landmark "strives to be a Christian school in essence, meaning that Christianity is part of all that we do and all that we are." Skinner's statement is supported by Landmark's vision statement, "Every student prepared to impact the world for Jesus Christ."
