McIntosh senior setter Megan Cheatham capped her high school volleyball career with an incredible final season. The 5’8” co-captain completed her senior year, with an astonishing 1,027 assists, 197 digs, 17 blocks, 63 serving aces, and a 96.5 percent serving accuracy, leading her team to a third place finish in the Georgia State AAAA Final Four. Cheatham was awarded her team’s top offense award at the volleyball award banquet last Tuesday evening.

Cheatham began her high school varsity career as a sophomore. Over the last three seasons, she has dished out 2,137 assists, 389 digs, 156 serving aces, and an overall serving accuracy of 95.9 percent. She is a two-time All-Region first team selectee and this year participated in the Georgia Senior All-Star match. This week she was also named to the Georgia Volleyball All-State first Team.

She attributes her success to having great teammates and great coaching throughout her high school and club volleyball seasons. She wants to continue playing volleyball in college and is still undecided on where she will attend following graduation.
