Main Street Newnan has announced that the 2007 Market Day vendor applications are currently available at the Main Street Newnan Web site.

Market Day on the Square is held the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from April through December. Vendors showcase homemade, homegrown, or handmade items.

The Main Street Market Day Committee will review all applications received by Feb. 16 and notify those accepted. This year, vendors have the option of applying to be an annual vendor or a monthly vendor.

The 2006 Market Day vendors featured items such as fresh produce and flowers, wooden birdhouses, wind chimes, hand-crafted jewelry, children’s clothing and accessories, fresh honey, paintings, hand-crafted furniture, and candles.

“Market Day has been very successful in downtown Newnan since it began in the Spring of 2005. We have around 60 vendors each month- and we want to continue growing! The 2007 season promises lots of variety in the vendors and their products. Come early and stay late- shop, eat and enjoy the history that downtown Newnan has to offer,” said Alise Cartledge.
