The Friends of the Fayette County Public Library will host their first book sale of the year Saturday, Feb. 3 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the library.

More than 9,000 gently read books in 22 categories will be on sale at bargain prices. Paperbacks generally sell for 50 cents while hardback books range from $1-$5.

Proceeds support many library programs including the summer reading clubs, baby story time, children’s craft programs, visits by well-known authors and the purchase of new books, videos and CDs.

Books are still needed for the sale, particularly best-sellers and children’s books along with others in good condition. Books may be dropped off at the library or pick-up can be arranged by calling 770-461-8841. Donations are tax deductible.
