Fr. John M. McDermott, S.J., will speak at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on the Christian meaning of suffering, “How to Reconcile a Good God with Human Sufferings,” Sunday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. McDermott was graduated magna cum laude and received his doctorate in sacred theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy. The author of more than 200 books, articles, editorials, critical reviews and translations, he has taught at Fordham University, The Gregorian University, and The Pontifical College Josephium. He is recognized and noted among Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in American Education and noted as one of the Outstanding Intellectuals of America.
