Major General and Mrs. Rip Detamore of Peachtree City announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Lani Nicole Detamore, to Stephen Gertz of Atlanta, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Gertz of Marietta.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard White of Dothan, Ala., and Mrs. Saranel Detamore of Huntsville, Ala. and the late Lowell Detamore. She is a graduate of Auburn University where she was graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in nutrition. She was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She is employed in the Neurohealth specialty division of GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals in Atlanta.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Gearheart of Pompano Beach, Fla., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gertz of Lorain, Ohio. He is a graduate of Kennesaw State University where he earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing. He is a partner in an advertising agency in Atlanta.

The wedding will be Saturday, March 17, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. at the Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta. A reception will follow at The Biltmore.
