Shelly McLemore has every reason to smile. The Flat Rock Middle School seventh grade teacher had an ice cream party thrown in her honor Jan. 24 after being selected as a finalist for Georgia Teacher of the Year. Blue Bell Ice Cream Atlanta South Branch Manager Mike Overton passed out cups of the frozen confection to students in the school caefteria before presenting McLemore with a treat of her own.
