What do ski trips and golf carts have to do with each other? At the 2007 “Angels Among Us” Dinner, Dance & Silent Auction, a ski trip, golf cart, and many other items will be auctioned off to raise funds for Fayette Youth Protection Homes, a local, non-profit organization which provides a safe and loving environment for children who have been the victims of abuse or neglect.

The event, held Saturday, February 3rd at Glendalough Manor is hosted by the 2007 FYPH Board of Directors. Attendees will feast on gourmet fair and be entertained by the sounds of “Genre” and “Those Two Guys.” Last year’s silent auction featured a fur coat, a diamond sweetheart necklace, fabulous trips and even a Pomeranian puppy.

This year, Brent Scarbrough, FYPH Board President, has donated a trip to Big Sky Montana as well as a golf cart. Both items will be offered in the live auction.

“Our event is a chance to enjoy each other’s company while at the same time helping youth in the community,” said Brent Scarbrough, President of the Fayette Youth Protection Homes Board of Directors. “We are so thankful for the support of many businesses and individuals in the community who come together to make this event possible.”

Last year’s event raised over $40,000 for Fayette Youth Protection Homes.

The cost to attend is $100 per person, and black tie is optional. January 31st is the deadline for reservations. Please call Becky Davenport at 770-461-7020 for additional information or visit www.fyph.org.
