Lower cost health insurance for chamber membersTue, 01/23/2007 - 4:33pm
By: The Citizen
The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce and Humana have joined forces to offer a discount to small businesses that offer health insurance for their employees. “This is a great opportunity”, said Linda Mackey of Linda Mackey Insurance. “This is a chance for folks to save money on their health insurance costs. Humana has offered their most popular health insurance plans and is offering them at a discount to qualified members of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce. This discount is off of their regular rates. Employers know they have to offer health insurance in order to attract and keep their best employees. This is a great resource for them, and it is available to most Fayette County businesses” The small business discount is only for Fayette County Chamber members, and there are some restrictions, but other businesses interested in the savings should call. In most cases this is actually enough of a discount that companies can join the Chamber and still save more than the cost of membership. Linda Mackey has been offering insurance to local businesses for 13 years. She is past president and founding member of the South Atlanta Association of Health Underwriters. Her office is located in Tyrone. For more information on the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce Health Insurance plans, call Linda Mackey at 678 870 9983. login to post comments |
