Thelma Ann Embry Josey, 67, Griffin, formerly of Fayetteville, died Oct. 27, 2005. She was born on Jan. 28, 1939 in Oconee County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Lula Mae Embry, Eatonton, her husband, Ralph Josey, a brother, Cecil Embry, and a sister, Louise Herring. She had held several offices in the children’s schools in the PTO. She later became a real estate agent and broker and operated her own real estate company, retiring as broker-owner in 2000. Services were at the Conner-Westbury chapel with interment at Camp Memorial Gardens, Fayetteville. Survivors include a son, Mark Josey, Sharpsburg; a daughter, Ann and Benny Higginbotham, Monroe; sisters, Mavis Kniceley, Anchorage, Alaska, and Frances Walker, Macedon, N. Y.; and a sister-in-law, Florence Embry, Eatonton. Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, Griffin, was in charge.
