Gordon Martin Hester, 86, Fayetteville, died Nov. 13, 2005. He was born Jan. 28, 1919 in Kane County, Ill. He had served in the United States Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945. He worked at the Elgin, Illinois, Water Softener for 24 years and then worked for the U-46 School District for 14 years. Graveside services were at Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin, Ill. Survivors include is son-in-law, John Gordon. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home handled the local arrangements.
