Raul W. Nelson, 82, Peachtree City, died Nov. 14, 2005. He was born Aug. 6, 1923 in Duluth, Minn. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Caroline Nelson, and a daughter, Carol Ann Hood. He was co-owner of Bedell-Nelson Insurance Agency, Santa Cruz, Calif. Memorial services were at the Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor John Weber and Pastor Miriam Beecher officiating. A memorial service will be held in Santa Cruz, Calif. at a later date. Survivors include his children, Pamela Davis, Peachtree City, and Susan Woods, Beaverton, Ore.; grandchildren, Sherry Bruce, Daniel Hood, Doug Wood, Rebecca Wood, Chris Wood, Chelsea Davis, and Chelsea and Chandler Davis; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Luke Bruce; and a brother, Kenny Nelson, Spokane, Wash. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
