Peggy June Casey-Seay, 77, Dalton, formerly of Fayetteville, died Nov. 18, 2005. She was born Aug. 24, 1928 in Atlanta, daughter of the late John and Gussie Banks Casey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Robert “Bob” Seay Sr., who died in 1997, and a sister, Elizabeth Banks. Peggy and Bob had married Sept. 2, 1950. She moved to Dalton at the age of six, and was graduated from Dalton High School in 1947. She was graduated from Georgia Baptist School of Nursing, currently Mercer University. She and her husband had resided in Duluth, Ga., New Jersey, Miami, Fla., and Fayetteville. In Fayetteville she co-founded the Fayette County Board of Realtors, the Fayette County Humane Society and the Fayette County Mental Health Association. She and Bob owned The Seay Realty Company in Fayetteville, returning to Dalton in 1980. She was working for the United States Department of Labor at her death. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and the League of Women Voters. Services were at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Peabody officiating. Interment was at West Hill Cemetery, Dalton. Survivors include a son, William Robert “Bobby” Seay Jr., Dalton; a daughter, Camilla and Dennis Wilson, Dalton; grandson, David Garrison Davis, Dalton; a granddaughter, Christina Elizabeth Davis, Tunnel Hill; great-granddaughters, Casey Elizabeth, and Catherine Elizabeth, both of Tunnel Hill; and special friends, Jack and Elizabeth Rowland, Dalton, and Eleanor Pickern, Lake City, Fla. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Northwest Georgia Council, 202 South Hamilton Street, Dalton, GA 30721.
