Louie Elton Welch, 72, Fayetteville, died Nov. 19, 2005. He was born Nov. 7, 1933 in Taylor, Ga. He was preceded in death by a son, James Elton Welch. Services were at the Jonesboro Baptist Tabernacle with the Rev. Joe Arthur officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park. Survivors include his wife, Glenda Welch, Fayetteville; a daughter, Terri A. and Joseph Harris; a daughter-in-law, Dianne Welch; stepsons, Steve McGinnis, Ronald McGinnis, and David McGinnis; grandchildren, Jordan and Dylan Harris, and Adam Welch; and seven other step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Lamar Welch, and Larry Welch; and sisters, Betty Walker, and Linda Williams. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
