RE/MAX is a giant when it comes to real estate, and Howard McPherson, President of RE/MAX of Georgia, has a giant’s heart, too!
Howard McPherson and members of the McPherson family contributed generously in early 2006 to Christian City to help with construction of a cottage in the new Children’s Village, a 30-acre development focused at providing a secure, contemporary environment for deserving children. McPherson returned to Christian City on December 20th, but this time with 37 RE/MAX Regional staff who brought their own charitable contributions to add to the McPherson effort at the new Children’s Village. Bob Crutchfield, CEO/President of Christian City, addressed the RE/MAX group following a luncheon, and showed obvious surprise when a spokesman for the RE/MAX group presented four new contributions for the Children’s Village project. “Yes, I was surprised,” said Crutchfield, “And, yet I wasn’t! Howard McPherson, his family and RE/MAX staff have shown how ‘above the crowd’ they really are by generously helping us build the new Children’s Village. These folks don’t just sell homes --they build homes … for abused and abandoned children who don’t have homes of their own – they have big hearts, so I’m not surprised.” “We are so grateful for RE/MAX Regional Service’s expression of love and compassion for the children of Christian City.” Christian City is a not-for-profit organization that has provided care for abused and neglected children since 1965. Today’s total programs at Christian City include services for adults including care for the aged and infirm, Alzheimer’s care, and independent retirement living opportunities. login to post comments |
