You can reach Brown; not so Logsdon

My grandparents on both sides came from the old country (Europe). If they knew that any of us, their descendants, were not exercising our privilege and responsibility to vote, they would get up out of their graves and whip our butts.

In their country, before they came to the United States, they lived under an authoritarian government ruled by a tyrant dictator. My grandfather told us over and over the importance of the common people staying involved in government before it is too late, which is what happened in their old home country.

Here in Peachtree City I have been impressed with Mayor Steve Brown and his effort to have an open and honest government.

I feel it unfair that some blame him for the current traffic problems. That is caused by lack of planning of former officials. Mayor Brown has taken a lead role in promoting long-range planning of roads in an effort to reduce future traffic problems.

I have heard some people say they don’t like all those controversial letters to the editor. I say that it is part of our freedom and the expression of all views should be encouraged. My ancestors would have been killed if they had even as much as hinted at disagreement with their government leaders.

I especially like the fact that I can personally call or talk to Mayor Brown in person and express my views and he takes them seriously.

I will vote for Steve Brown Dec. 6 and hope he will be elected to serve us here in Peachtree City for another four years.
