Lopez and Tabor concert is Jan. 21Tue, 01/09/2007 - 3:31pm

Alfonso Lopez and Michelle Tabor will perform a violin and piano concert on Sunday, Jan. 21 at Fayette Presbyterian Church. The event is part of the 2006 - 2007 Concert Series hosted by the church. Alfonso Lopez, violinist, is considered one of the most versatile and prominent musicians of his generation in Venezuela. He is currently concertmaster of The Venezuela Symphony Orchestra and professor of violin at The Emil Friedman School. Michelle Tabor, pianist, has performed recitals in the southeastern U.S. during two concert tours each year from 2000 to the present. She has performed with Alfonso Lopez in the United States and Venezuela since 2004. The concert begins at 3 p.m. Sunday in the church sanctuary. A “Meet the Musicians” reception will follow in the fellowship hall. The Lopez-Tabor concert is the third in the 2006 - 2007 Concert Series at Fayette Presbyterian Church. Remaining performances in the series include The Simpsonwood 8:45 Band on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 3 p.m. and Reggie Dancil on Sunday, April 15 at 3 p.m. Tickets for individual concerts are $10 each. Tickets for all three remaining events may be purchased for only $25. Student admission for each concert is $5.
