Joe and Jaye McMillan of Brooks and Bonnie and Larry Deal of Montgomery, Ala. announce the engagement of their daughter, Jody McMillan, to Matt Shepherd, son of Tim and Kathy Shepherd of Stockbridge and Annette Shepherd of Douglasville.

The bride-to-be is employed by the Atlanta Metro Urology Clinic.

The groom-elect is employed by the Delta Community Credit Union.

The wedding will be May 5, 2007, on the beach in Destin, Fla. The couple will reside in Sharpsburg.
