Chaplain William (Bill) Shelton, of Peachtree City, has been admitted to the membership of the International Conference of Police Chaplains (ICPC).

The ICPC was founded in 1973 to serve all law enforcement chaplains and has more than 2,500 members across the world. The organization is ecumenical, interfaith and interdenominational, supports both paid and volunteer chaplains, helps agencies develop chaplaincy programs and is a non-profit organization.

All members must receive endorsement to the ICPC from their respective ecclesiastical bodies, and the law enforcement agencies they serve.

Chaplain Shelton serves with the Peachtree City Police Department and also serves on the ministerial staff of Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg. He is also a member of the Georgia Association of Law Enforcement Chaplains and is currently nearing completion of the process for certification as a chaplain with the Georgia Peace Officer’s Standards and Training Council.
