Virginia Lee Blanks, 76, Stockbridge, died Dec. 30, 2006. She was born Jan. 3, 1930 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Blanks. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Senior Minister Jim Van Winkle, and Associate Minister Howard Taylor officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include sons, Jimmy and Barbara Walker, Tucson, Ariz., Larry and Debbie Walker, Fayetteville, James R. Palmer Jr., Griffin, and Mike and Dorothy Adkins, Licking Mo.; daughters, Paulette Bannister, Tyrone, Diane Buchanan, Stockbridge, and Lori and James McLarty, Barnesville; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Sue Heard. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
