Jessica Breanne Stanley, a second-year political science major at the University of Georgia, has been named vice president for recruitment of the executive board of the Panhellenic Council. The Peachtree City, Ga. student is one of seven women named as officers of the council, which oversees the activities of 18 member sororities on the UGA campus. Stanley is a 2005 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and is the daughter of Bryan and Denise Stanley. A member of Kappa Delta sorority, her other campus activities include serving as a freshman advisor for UGA HEROs, a student organization dedicated to raising money for children with HIV/AIDS. • Air Force Airman 1st Class Robert T. Cooper has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. He is the son of Rhonda Cooper of Fayetteville, Ga. and a 2001 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School, Fayetteville.

• Army Pvt. Matthew R. Donahue has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises. He is the son of Mona Donahue of Sharpsburg, Ga. and a 2003 graduate of the Arlington Christian School, Fairburn, Ga.
