Local Boy Scout Troop 172 held a wilderness survival weekend Nov. 17-19. The scouts in the troop participated in many survival activities including first aid, nourishment, water filtration, orientation and shelter. As part of the training all of the boys constructed their own shelter from materials in the area. On Saturday night each of the scouts stayed in their own shelter.
