As high school students begin to look into furthering their education by going to college, the process can feel overwhelming. Not only is there a lot of information to find and then go through, but when thoughts turn to financing a college education, things can get a lot more stressful for both the sudent and his or her parents.

One man is doing everything he can to ease the process.

Fayette County resident Terry Wilfong, a former professor of military science at Fresno State University, has created an interactive CD/DVD program, “The Complete Guide to College Financing and Admissions,” that covers everything about getting into college from selecting the school, getting into that school, paying for it and much more. It was awarded the 2005 Telly Award in the Educational/Training Division and has been hailed by major newspapers across the country.

Wilfong not only has first hand experience with getting children into college (his son graduated from the University of Michigan and one of his daughters is currently in college) but the program also includes input from experts around the country. He is an expert as well, serving as one of the nation's top experts on financing college and admissions and has worked with hundreds of Colleges and Universities across the U.S.; holding positions as Admissions, Recruitment and Enrollment Management Consultant

Wilfong has resided in Fayette County for 10 years. He na dhis wife, Wendy, have decided to stay at least until all their children finish secondary school.

“Fayette County schools have provided so much for my family, I want to give something back,” said Wilfong.

Wilfong has offered to provide a free demonstration seminar of his program to high school parents and counselors in Fayette County.
