Several individuals completed specialized training and were installed as licensed liturgical ministers (LLMs) at Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg.

The classes were taught by Father David Monroe, Canon Liturgist of the Diocese of Georgia and rector of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Smyrna.

LLMs are lay persons who have received a license from the diocese to take Holy Communion to the sick, the dying and the homebound, and to serve as chalice bearers, or servers of the wine, during principal services of the church.

The licensees received a special pectoral cross and a certificate of license from the church’s pastor, father David Epps.

Those being recognized included Edwina Bond Cowgill, Seth McGee and Joseph Coronado of Peachtree City; James DeVos of Tyrone; Joanne Neece, Dawn De Leo, Kevin Wright and Scott Haskin of Newnan; and Karen Hennessy, Christi Wright and John Epps of Senoia.

The LLM ministry at Christ the King is under the direction of Deacon Jerome De Leo of Newnan.
