Tyrone police are working to identify the person who held up the Subway restaurant at knifepoint Wednesday night, getting away with several hundred dollars in cash.

The assailant, described as a white male, wore a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up with black sweatpants and white tennis shoes, said acting police chief David Mullis. Though no one in the restaurant at the time knew the suspect, police have learned he had some sort of tattoos on one of his hands, Mullis said.

The assailant left the scene in a green Honda or Toyota car, Mullis noted.

Police have reviewed a videotape in connection with the 9:30 p.m. incident and are following a lead on the suspect's possible identity, Mullis noted.

The suspect brandished a knife between eight and 12 inches long and told an employee to hand over "all the money" Mullis said.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Tyrone Police Department at 770-487-4732.
