Board members ready for JanuaryThu, 12/21/2006 - 4:01pm
By: The Citizen
Newly-elected Coweta County Board of Education member Harry Mullins and returning board member Brian Roy were sworn into office by Probate Court Judge Mary Cranford Wednesday morning. Board members Mike Sumner and Steve Bedrosian – both incumbents who begin new terms of office in January – are also taking the oath of office before the Board of Education meets in January for the first time. Whether newly-elected or returning for a new term, all board members must swear an oath of office before assuming their duties on the Board of Education. Mullins actually served on the Board before in an at-large position, before retiring six years ago from the post. He returns to represent the Third Board of Education district. The Board of Education meets for the first time in 2007 January 9, at 6:30 p.m., at the 237 Jackson Street Board of Education office in Newnan. login to post comments |
