Joe M. Norton Sr., 94, Palmetto, died Dec. 8, 2006. He was born Dec. 17, 1911 in Rockdale County, Ga. He was a longtime member of College Park Presbyterian Church. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Martin S. Huggins Sr., officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include a son, Joe M. Norton Jr., New York; daughters, Catherine and Clyde McDonald, Knoxville, Tenn., and Ann DeLoach, St. Simons Island; grandchildren, Cassie and Tim Smith, Elizabeth and Dale Reynolds, Erik and Ann Cox, Jason and Christie Pitts, Joseph Pitts, and Bob and Mary Williams;and three great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the Presbyterian Village, 2000 East West Connector, Austell, GA 30106. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
