Winter Jam Part II takes stage Dec. 15Thu, 12/14/2006 - 11:38am

The Youth Council of Fayette County, Peachtree City Christian Church and the Peachtree City Parks and Recreation Department will present Winter Jam Part II on Friday, Dec. 15. The concert, which will take place at Peachtree City Christian Church, 500 Kedron Drive, will run from from 8-11 p.m. All ages are welcome and the entrance fee is $8 with a flyer or $10 without. Between the Trees is one of the hottest indie pop rock bands in the Southeast with almost a million MySpaceMusic and Purevolume plays. Hailing from Orlando, Fla., the band formed in 2005 and released their debut album “The Story and The Song,” a collection of 11 stories put to music. Between the Trees also toured with the Vans Warped tour this summer. Atlanta based 7 Sharp 9 also tours across the country and is one of Atlanta's hottest alternative rock bands in the area. The band is comprised of Chris Wold on vocals and guitar, Christopher Butler on bass and Nick Marion on drums. Their second offering “Frame by Frame” continues to keep the band touring with more than 200 dates per year. Kenotia, from Marietta just finished recording in New York and has over 300,000 MySpaceMusic and Pure Volume Plays. Local Bands Soul Sister and Night After Dark will also be performing for their home crowd. Other Youth Council events coming up include "Tell Yo Peeps" Trivia Nights and the High School Ultimate Frisbee Tourney.
