The Creative Arts Ministry of Providence United Methodist Church will present the musical drama, “A Christmas Prayer,” Sunday, Dec. 17, at 10 and 11:11 a.m. The program features the chancel choir, a full symphony orchestra, and the drama team telling the story of Philip, a prodigal son who is carrying a chip on his shoulder from a strained relationship with his father.

On his journey home for the holidays, Philip meets several people who help him release his bitterness towards his father, allowing him to renew his relationship with God.

Senior minister Jim Ellison says, “This is a great way to leave the busy-ness of this season behind and come experience the joy of the season through amazing music and drama. Everyone is welcome!”

The community is invited, and childcare is provided.
