Eva Ruth Adams, 90, Fayetteville, died Dec. 7, 2006. She was born Sept. 15,1916 in Fayette County, daughter of Henry and Inez Jackson. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Chuck Akins. She was a lifetime member of East Point Christian Church, a member of the Gleaners Sunday School Class and the Naomi Group. She enjoyed traveling with her family to Panama City. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Wendell Baggett, and the Rev. Dan Roberts officiating. Interment was at College Park Cemetery. Survivors include daughters, Teresa and Darrell Newby, and Frances and Clyde Prestage, all of Fayetteville, Sue and James Akins, Marietta, and Cheryl and Albie Landwehr, Woodstock; grandchildren, Scott Newby, Bryan and Missy Newby, Traci and Scott Tucker, Debbie Wells, Jennifer and Tommy Graves, and Mary Landwehr; great-grandchildren, Calem Newby, Kyleigh Newby, and Carson Newby, Evan Tucker, and Emma Graves, and Ashley Graves; a brother, Hulett and Nita Jackson, Fayetteville; and a sister, Mary Gooch, Griffin. Memorial donations may be made to Christian City Children's Home, 7300 Lester Road, Union City, GA 30291. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
