Dr. James and Mrs. Jennie Mathias of Tipp City, Ohio announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Elizabeth Mathias, to Kelechukwu Nnawuenyi Oparah, son of Dr. Bernard and Mrs. Dawn Oparah of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be was graduated from Tippecanoe High School, Tipp City, Ohio, in 2002. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in sociology from The Ohio State University in 2005. She is currently a human developmental counseling master candidate at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tenn. She plans to obtain a professional counseling license.

The groom-elect was graduated from McIntosh High School, Peachtree City in 1999. In 2003, he received his bachelor’s degree in recording industry and music production from Middle Tennessee State University with minors in creative writing and mass communications. He is now a writer, producer and part owner of Uproot Media, a film and theater production company. He also co-founded Eastgate Studios, a non-profit organization that focuses on entertainment craft and character development for young people.

The wedding will be Dec. 23, 2006, in Xenia, Ohio. After a honeymoon in Florida, the couple will reside in the Nashville, Tenn. area.
