Six vehicles were broken into Wednesday morning at the Braelinn Golf Course parking lot, police said.

The windows of the vehicles were broken and a purse was taken from each vehicle, police said. The incident occurred sometime between 10:30 and 11 a.m., police said.

Police already have two suspects identified with their photos and pictures of their car, Police Chief James Murray said Thursday morning.

Police are urging citizens to store valuables out of sight and in secure locations. Motorists should also use caution when parking by parking in well-lit areas at night and avoiding parking near areas that may obstruct view of the vehicle such as bushes or trees, police said.

Motorists should also be alert and on the lookout for anyone who may be observing their activity as they leave their car, police said.
