Oak Grove students graduate from DARE

Approximately 70 fifth grade students from Oak Grove Elementary School in Peachtree City recently graduated from the D.A.R.E. Program. Taught by specially trained officers from the Peachtree City Police Department, DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) details the dangers and consequences of drug usage. Class discussions also include peer pressure situations and how to handle them. Police Chief James Murray addressed the students, teachers and parents at each graduation ceremony. At the conclusion of the course all students submit a written essay on what the course meant to them.
