Florrie Emma Kennedy Witt, 98, Fayetteville, died Nov. 30, 2006. She was born Sept. 26, 1908 in Macon County, Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Myra Kennedy, her husband, Daniel Lee Witt, and children, Lee Witt Wash, and Jacob Marius Witt. She was a retired first-grade teacher and was a member of the Fayette County Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Services were at the Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Westmoreland officiating. Survivors include sons, Daniel Kennedy Witt, Blairsville, and Jim and Karen Witt, Carrollton; a daughter, Lynda and John Day, Cumming; grandchildren, Fran and Paul Anuszkiewicz, Newnan, Elaine and Court Fowler, Kennesaw, Sarah and Brent Spitzer, Dawsonville, Holly Thompson, Alpharetta, and Jamie Witt, Carrollton; great-grandchildren, Jessie Rabideau, Falls Church, Pa., Laura and Elizabeth Spitzer, Dawsonville, Stephanie Walczak, Fayetteville, and Erin Fowler, Kennesaw. Memorial donations can be given to the Retired Teachers Scholarship Fund, Fayette County Retired Teachers Association, 409 Willow Road, Peachtree City, GA 30269, or the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, 175 W. Lanier Ave., Fayetteville, GA 30214. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge. login to post comments |
