Myrtle Stubbs Long, 89, Fayetteville, died Nov. 11, 2006.She was born Dec. 27, 1916 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pierce Long, and a son, Donald Long. Graveside services were at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park, with the Rev. Tom Daughtery officiating. Survivors include sons, Garey Long, and Mike and Joyce Long, all of Fayetteville; daughters, Brenda Dechert, and Betty Jo Atkins, both of Griffin; a daughter-in-law, Elaine Long, Fairburn; a sister-in-law, Ruth Stubbs, Hiram; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
