The development of properties adjacent to Tyrone’s new Legacy Theater moved closer to reality Thursday with approval by the town Planning Commission to approve the site plan for Lot No. 4 at the Shops of Millbrook. Plans for Lot No. 6 at Millbrook was tabled while the conceptual site plan for Lot No. 13 at Shamrock Industrial Park was approved. The Shops at Millbrook Lot No. 4 is situated immediately to the north of Legacy Theater. The site plan was approved contingent on an adjustment to the number of parking spaces. The lot is situated on 1.084 acres and will be the site of a 4,500 square-foot retail building. Town parking requirements call for 42 spaces. Lot No. 6 of The Shops at Millbrook is situated immediately south of Legacy Theater. The site plan was tabled due to the needed work on the parking lot. The developer must install a middle island to conform to town standards. Plans must also be modified to show the property’s sewage tying into the Millbrook sewer system rather than the town system. Lot No. 6 will be the site of a 7,500 square-foot office/retail building situated on 1.62 acres. Plans call for 42 parking spaces. Also at the meeting, commissioners approved the conceptual site plan for Lot No. 13 at Shamrock Industrial Park. Approval came with the condition that shielding be added to the wall-pack lighting on the building’s exterior. Owner Brandon Guthrie had already complied with previous changes required by the commission. login to post comments |
