Next Wednesday, December 6, Atlanta radio station 99X will host its legendary "Mistle Toe Jam" concert featuring the biggest line-up in its 12 year history. The event, which will be held at Philips Arena in downtown Atlanta boasts a line up of some of the hotest rock acts around including The Killers, Jet, AFI and OK Go. The Killers, who hail from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2002 and released their highly acclaimed debut album, “Hot Fuss,” in 2004. This will be the first appearance for the band since their October release of their new album "Sam's Town." Led by vocalist and keyboardist Brandon Flowers, The Killers includes Dave Keuning (guitar, vocals), Mark Stoermer (bass, vocals), and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion). With soaring vocals and heart pounding beats, audiences will get lost in The Killers’ performance. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Jet comes to town in support of their recently released sophomore album, “Shine On,” which hit shelves October 3. The Auzzie band’s first album “Get Born,” released in 2003, has sold over 3.5 million copies throughout the world; a number which rose dramatically as a result of their hit single “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” which was featured on an Apple iTunes commercial. AFI also comes into town riding high off their new release “Decemberunderground.” The veteran rockers formed in 1991, as A Fire Inside and have released seven albums since that time. Rounding out the concert’s bill is OK Go, the hottest new act to rise to fame on treadmills. The band has released two full length CDs including their self titled debut and “Oh No.” Their sophomore album features the song “Here It Goes Again” which is best known for the treadmill video which reached extreme popularity on the Web site YouTube.com.
