On Thursday, December 7, plan to attend “A Christmas Carol” at Newnan Theatre Company. The show will do more than lift your spirits, it will also help to brighten the holidays of a family in great need of community support.

On Oct. 27, nine month old Kevin Fairchild underwent a successful liver transplant. The son of Willis Road Elementary School teacher Jason Fairchild and his wife Marilyn was born with biliary atresia, a rare disorder caused by the abnormal development of the liver’s bile ducts; Kevin was on the waiting list for months before receiving his new liver. Not only is the procedure extremely expensive, the follow-up care and medications for the remainder of Kevin’s life can run upwards of $40,000 per year.

All proceeds from the December 7 show will go to the Fairchild family to help pay the costs of the operation and care. Donations will also be accepted at other performances during the run of NTC’s “A Christmas Carol.”

The special performance of “A Christmas Carol” will be presented Thursday, December 7 at 8 p.m. Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (55+) and children (12 and under). VISA and MasterCard payments may be made by phone or at the box office; the theatre is handicapped accessible.
