Elven R. Gallimore Jr., 77, Atlanta, died Nov. 24, 2006. He was born Feb. 5, 1929 in Fulton County. He had worked for Carlings Brewery, Atlanta, where he was the foreman over production, and retired in 1993 with 25 years of service as a superintendent at Merico Foods, Inc. He enjoyed World War II history, and traveling, especially to Germany, the native country of his late wife, Margit Knaf Gallimore. He was preceded in death by a son, Bruno Gallimore. Services were at Saint Gabriel Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Jimmy Adams and the Rev. Father Larry Schmul officiating. Interment was at Crest Lawn Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include a son, Elven R. Gallimore III, Atlanta; daughters, Geneva and Fred Weaver, Fayetteville, and Maria and Robert Adamson, Stockbridge; grandchildren, Robert Adamson Jr., Matthew Adamson, Stephen Adamson, John Weaver, Maggie "Margit" Weaver; and a brother, Dan L. and Annette Gallimore, Lilburn. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. login to post comments |
