The Fayette Family YMCA is proud to announce Andre DeLorenzo as its 2006 volunteer of the year. DeLorenzo was honored at the Nov. 9 annual volunteer recognition dinner at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.

DeLorenzo is a board member and serves as chairman of the Y’s Family Festival of the Arts. He spends time creating event and promotional materials for the Y. His volunteer service helps to expand the Y’s programs throughout the Fayette community.

DeLorenzo has been volunteering at the Fayette YMCA for the past three years. His interest lies in the local arts. He also serves on the design committee for a future YMCA in Fayette County.

DeLorenzo lives in Peachtree City. His other community involvement includes serving on the board of directors for the Endowment Committee for the Cultural Arts of Fayette County, editor and publisher of the Southside Arts Agenda, and a writer for the Kids Watch page, an arts and expression magazine.
