Olivet welcomes Sharpton as anniversary guest speaker

The Olivet Church in Fayetteville announces the rescheduled visit of the Rev. Al Sharpton for its Fall Freedom Festival to be held Sunday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m. The event was previously scheduled for Nov. 5.

The church, a Baptist fellowship, invites the community join its church family in celebrating the culmination of its 15 year anniversary celebration with guest speaker the Rev. Al Sharpton, founder of the National Action Network in New York and a noted civil rights, community and political activist.

Sharpton hosts a popular radio talk show on Atlanta’s 102.5 FM, “Grown Folks Radio,” where he converses with metro Atlanta area callers.

Dr. Howard W. Creecy Jr., senior pastor/teacher is the founding pastor of The Olivet Church.

“We want the entire city of Fayetteville and the surrounding areas of south Fulton and south Clayton counties to come experience our wonderful worship and great teaching,” Creecy said. “Our church is a family friendly fellowship and we want you to join us, not just for our anniversary celebration, but every Sunday as we deliver twenty-first century ministry with traditional Christian values.
