Miss Georgia to be a part of Tyrone parade, Dec. 14Mon, 11/27/2006 - 10:57am

The first Annual Tyrone Christmas Parade sponsored by United Community Bank, promises to be spectacular and the Parade Committee needs help from the community and citizens. According to Parade Director, Stephen Ball, “We want everyone attending the Parade to bring a flashlight. Candles are too dangerous, but flashlights will serve as a great alternative for forming a landing strip for Santa’s Sleigh. Mr. Ball adds, “ Since it is a night parade the flashlights can be used to help illuminate the beautiful floats from Cline Float Company.
The committee announced today, that Brittany Swann, The reigning Miss Georgia USA who will represent Georgia in the next Miss USA Pageant will be a featured guest. Ball reminds everyone to get to the Parade site early on Thursday, December 14, 2006. Parade will kick off at exactly 6:30 p.m. from Handley Park. Ball also stated, “This event promises lots of fun for all ages and if successful, the next years event will be even bigger. I’d like to see this Parade become the biggest Christmas Parade for a small town in the southeast. I want Tyrone citizens to be proud of the event. Come on out with your friends and let’s light up one mile of runway for Santa. login to post comments |
